This transitional policy recognises that many groups of staff are increasingly working in non-traditional ways. Mobile and home working are methods of flexible working with benefits for both the Trust and its employees. The policy summarises the general principles relating to posts which can be filled by employees who work partly
or wholly at home. The same principles also apply to mobile workers who work occasionally at home. The policy includes a procedure to assist managers in
determining the suitability of a post for home working and a formal Home Working Agreement for some types of home working. It also recognises that home working
may be requested by staff with a legal right to request flexible working.
