This policy sets out the child protection principles, structures and systems that the Trust has implemented to ensure all children under the age of 18 years, accessing services within the organisation, will receive appropriate measures to make sure they are safeguarded in respect of all child protection considerations, this also includes children of adult clients who are accessing the Trust’s services.

The intention is to create a safe therapeutic environment . Hospital staff need to be aware of whether they have a legal right to search a patient.

All people who use Trust services are entitled to be respected, valued and worked with in a way that it is sensitive to the needs of each individual. This policy aims to provide staff with information and good practice required to achieve this aim for people using our services who are trans.
